"If we’re going to accomplish anything within the movement of positive body image in the public eye, our interactions with each other are the utmost important tool in this process."  To read the complete article, go here

Vogue Curvy Truth + Fashion:

"New York based team Endangered Bodies is about to launch an urban guerrilla operation.

It was announced on their website, but little is known, except that it will involve stickers that say: Join the Resistance – Love Your Body.

In the next few days the city of New York might wake up plastered with stickers containing a very specific invitation for women: reclaim your body and start loving it.

Born in March 2011 from a series of international summits, Endangered Bodies is a work group based in New York, London, Buenos Aires, Sao Paolo, Dublin, and Sydney which deals with issues related to body image, the commercial exploitation of the female image and the industry of hate towards the body, basically the one that leverages on female frustration and perfection anxiety just for profit.

Among the activists involved with the group Endangered Bodies there are also English therapist Susie Orbach and actress Emma Thompson.

AlterNet writes about the Endangered Species summits:

"In our increasingly globalized world, where corporate conglomerates produce the majority of both the products we buy and the media we read, we are all stuck together in this sticky, toxic web of disembodiment." (more)

"Everyone knows poor body image is a problem. A new movement wants to stop talking about it and do something to actually change our culture." (see the story)

From Feministing, Sayantani DasGupta writes:

"I recently was invited to attend the Endangered Species Summit in New York, one in an international series of summits organized by Courtney Martin, The Women’s Therapy Center, and others." Read her article here
